Chimney sweeping (fireplaces): Renaissance Chimney uses the newest in technology to remove harmful deposits from your flue, smoke chamber, smoke shelf (area behind damper), and firebox. Debris and deposits of creosote and soot can cause fires and dangerous puffbacks. After sweeping, we use the Northstar Documentation center to do a video inspection of the inside of your chimney. A flashlight and mirror simply are not enough to insure the integrity of the flue lining. Hidden defects may be revealed during this process that would otherwise go unnoticed. Annual sweepings/inspections are important to keep your family healthy and safe.

When service your chimney, we use drop cloths where necessary to keep your home clean. Our powerful industrial vacuum keeps dust from entering your home.

Chimney sweeping (stoves, furnaces, boilers, etc.): similar process as cleaning a fireplace. Vent connectors are inspected for any defects and the video inspection will be performed when possible.

Stainless steel relining: restores damaged flues with UL listed Stainless steel that carries a lifetime warranty. It has also been known to increase the efficiency of the unit venting into the chimney.

Fireplace restoration: bring deteriorated fireplaces back to working standards. We use stainless steel liners to restore flues, and can rebuild deteriorating fireboxes with firebrick or soapstone using various designs. Historical restorations are carefully brought back to their former glory using modern repair methods that are blended into the style of the old fireplace. References are available from people who have received this very specialized service.

Gas log and gas fireplace installation and service: professional installation of gas logs and gas fireplaces as well as annual service (sometimes necessary to maintain warranty) and troubleshooting.

Wood stove and gas stove sales: Renaissance Chimney is proud to distribute the top of the line Regency and elegant Hampton wood stoves and gas stoves. These stoves come with an outstanding warranty and are extremely efficient as well as beautiful!

Biomass - pellet and corn stoves: Renaissance Chimney is proud to offer the full line of MagnuM biomass stoves.

Dryer vent cleaning: dryer vents become clogged with lint which poses a fire hazard and can also cause damage to your dryer. These deposits should be cleaned out regularly. If you have noticed it's taking much longer than usual to dry a load of laundry, this may be your problem.

Crown repair: the crown is the area on top of the chimney around the flue liner. If this area is cracked or broken, it allows water and ice into the top of the chimney causing damage. It should be kept in good condition at all times.

Cap Installation: We offer stainless steel and copper caps. Caps are important in preventing entry of rain water, animals and other debris.

Damper repair and new damper Installation: Dampers will often warp and rust to the point of being ineffective. It is very important to have a properly operating damper. It helps prevent the loss of heat from the house.

Accessory sales: Renaissance Chimney offers a wide variety of accessories for fireplaces, wood, gas, and pellet stoves, as well as essential safety equipment.

Prefab (Class A) chimney installation: Prefab chimney systems are commonly used for woodstove installations where a flue doesn't already exist.

Masonry repairs: Renaissance Chimney performs a wide variety of masonry repairs. They consist of: brick and stone pointing, stucco, brick and block work, and new chimneys built.

Video Inspection/Insurance or Real Estate Evaluations: Using the latest in technology, our technicians will do a Level 2 inspection of your chimney's interior. For insurance or real estate evaluations, a detailed written report (including digital pictures) is prepared. A copy of the videotaped inspection is available upon request.
